Great place to visit. Open seven days. Fantastic cafe almost like a mini restaurant. Today they were making sausage apple and leek sausage rolls and preparing soups and fresh roasts. They do three or four things for Sunday roast and amazing cakes. Of course you can walk around the gardens as well. Wheelchair accessible.

We went to the Tea Rooms for lunch for the first time today. The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the menu had a great selection, including veggie and vegan options. The homemade food and cakes were amazing! I'll definitely be going back soon.

This is a fantastic gardens with some lovely areas. It has a very relaxed feel to it with some spectacular specimens.
After a lovely walk around the gardens we stopped for tea and scones. The scones were amazingly light in texture and served still warm

Excellent but I would recommend that you go in the spring, maybe check with them what's in flower. Largely known for the Camellia and Rhododendron displays. There is a lot more to the gardens but perhaps not as colourful.

Despite the rain we still had a wonderful time, the gardens really are beautiful, and the children particularly enjoyed looking at the Fern Pit. Plus an Easter egg hunt finding various animals along the way.
The tearoom provide what you’d expect and the cakes made on site are delicious. Really lovely staff and a great little spot. Also plenty of parking.

A lovely garden, which my companion described as a "lovely little wood". The magnolias and camellias were gorgeous at the end of February / early March and the tree ferns were truly outstanding! But there looked to be plants that would be very attractive at lots of different times of the year. When we arrived the helpful staff said it would take 1 hour and 15 minutes to follow the route around - which was precisely correct! We also reserved a table for lunch, which was a good idea, and the food was very tasty - you could go for sandwiches or soup or something more hearty. We greatly enjoyed our visit and would very much recommend this little gem!

Had lunch in the tearoom and then walk around the garden. Lunch and cakes were lovely, staff very friendly. Garden had lots of different areas including a walled garden. The addition of the gardeners reference points were great as it gave you points to look at as this time of year gardens are not as colourful. The route was laid out well and easy to follow.

Discovered this gem last year and we had to return. The gardens are beautiful and there's something interesting at every turn. With the map comes the Head Gardeners notes on what to look out for which adds to your walk. Lovely and shady when it's a scorching day and great for dogs. The cafe restaurant I can't recommend enough. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. Lovely selection of cakes and drinks. I would add that the set up is good that you can just visit for the cafe and enjoy the view from the benches of you don't want to do the gardens. Will be back next year.
